Rules/Expectations:
- I expect students to be prepared for class every day. Being prepared consists of having homework done before class, bringing a pen or pencil, a grading pen (any color except blue, black, or purple), the textbook, workbook, assignment notebook, a folder used only for Spanish, and a three ring binder to class every day.
- I expect students to be respectful to me and the other students in the class at all times. When myself or another student is talking no one else should be.
- Food and drinks (except water) are not allowed.
- Cell phones are not allowed in my class, and they will be taken if I see them.
Special Points Of Interest:
- Only 4 hall passes are given per semester so please use the restroom in between classes
- Be polite and always use appropriate language
- You are expected to speak Spanish in class every day. You will get as much out of this class as you put into it. Which means: ¡Habla español!

- The official IBHS grading scale will be used and grades will be rounded up at .5 or above.
- A student’s grade will be configured using a points system.
- Grades will be updated in Power School every week.
- Extra credit is given once at the end of each semester.
- Late work may be turned in with a corresponding Late Work Pass for full credit.

Tips To Be Successful In Spanish:
- Speak in Spanish during class.
- If you don't understand something, ask.
- When you do your vocab use one color ink for the Spanish words and another color ink for the English ones.
- Learn a few words a day instead of waiting until the night before a test or quiz to cram.
- Pay attention and take good notes in class.
